Volleyball Eighteen girls played volleyball - enough to make full varsity and junior varsity teams. Both teams were able to play nearly every match. Coach Teresa Whitehall said that the strengths of the teams were that they learned quickly and worked very well together. She also said that their defensive skills for returning offensive attacks were strong, and that their weakness was probably inexperience. She stressed conditioning during practices. The varsity's season record was 5-9, while the junior varsity's was 1-11. For the varsity team, Wendie Riley was recognized as the Most Improved Player, Maxine Dallmann as the Most Inspirational, and Adrienne Hill as the Most Valuable. The organization's first S50 scholarship went to Cammie Dair, who used it to help fund her studies in Mexico during the summer. She shared her experiences with other members and their parents at the installation ceremony in the fall. New members introduced at the installation were Steve Jackson, Eric Phelps, and Melissa Dair. To raise money, Honor Society held the traditional Halloween Carnival. Officers were president Maxine Dallman, vice- president Adrienne Hill, secretary Cammie Dair, and treasurer Joni Hendrix. M i
