A . Staff In addition to their assigned teaching responsibilities mentioned on the academic pages, the teaching staff made extra efforts to enrich the school. Teachers coached athletic teams, took students to academic contests and on field trips, and taught special interest mini-courses at the semester. They also wrote letters regularly to students' parents, selected a student of the month to honor, and volunteered their help to build the playshed. School Board The school board spent much time making decisions concerning the playshed, developing next year's budget, and revising district policies. They also approved all expenditures of school district funds, and established some goals for the district. Ted Hendrix resigned in the spring after serving on the board for 24 years.
