GRADUATIO Graduation was held May 28. Ed Humble, su- perintendent, presented the senior class while Hank Schroeder, chairman of the school board handed out the diplomas. Tim Pearson, valedicto- rian, and John Barclay, salutatorian, gave speech- es. Other seniors who participated in the ceremo- ny were Jeff Woosley, who led the flag salute, Dave Hall, who gave the welcome, Sherri Borton, who gave the invocation, and Cathy Schreiber, who led the benediction. Jim Mullenix presented awards and scholar- ships to Tim Pearson, Denny Lee, and John Bar- clay. Tim was named an Oregon Scholar, an honor reserved for the highest rated Oregon seniors. Baccalaureate was held the evening before graduation. David Kinman, minister of the Meth- odist Church in Philomath was the speaker. Clau- dia Hendrix, a member of the graduating class sang at both ceremonies. BANQUET Sz PROM The Junior-Senior Banquet was held May lst at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Juniors decorated the stage and tables with spring flowers while the junior mothers prepared a sumptuous dinner. The pro- gram included the senior wills and prophecy, and certificates for each senior to point out something for which they will be remembered. Jim France and Louan Michael ruled the Jr.-Sr. Prom, May 3rd. Juniors created a forest scene to carry out their theme, Enchanted Forest.
