HO OR OCIETY The honor society had two main moneymaking projects to earn money for the bleachers on the football field. In October they sponsored a Halloween Carni- val. Not only did the club earn 35100, they pro- vided a service for the community by giving the kids something to do on Halloween. They also put on the annual Hootenany which followed the cir- cus theme. They made 8120. Carol Sapp was president this year and directed both projects. Patsy Jones is the group's adviser. FOOTBALL The varsity football team had a year of ups and downs. They lost three games by a total of ten points. The team had a good year offensively, scoring 220 points and rolling up 2,503 yards total offense. The offense averaged 31 points a game and the defense allowed only 16 points a game. Opponents gained only 1,477 yards total offense. Steve Campbell led the team in scoring with 70 points, and Bugs Bowen led the team in total offense with 1,119 total yards.
