FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA The F.F.A. is the oldest organization in the school. lt is made up of nine committees of which each boy is a member of one. The year's activities starts out with the officers attending the Leadership Training Center for a period of one week. Three boys from our chapter attend the State Convention week where the finals of all speaking and musical contests are held. At the first of school the committees meet and work out a program of activities for the year. U The F.H .A. was first organized in I952 under the leadership of Mrs. E.B. Howton. Since 1953, Mrs. G .T. Lilly has been the advisor. Last year we held our first Mother- Daughter banquet, which was enioyed by all, we are looking forward to another one this year. Wanda Taylor, Helen Barnett and 'Peggy Cleaver were the girls receiving their Junior Degrees this year. 39
