Junior Class History President .,................. ......... M attie Ann Lassiter Vice President .......... .............e J ackie Burkeen Secretary .................... ........... Dee Farris The present Junior Class entered high school as Freshmen in 1949 They had a class enrollment of twenty-one and chose Mrs. Trucille Kemp as their sponsor. The class presented a three-act comedy: Dictator Dad. Twenty were enrolled in class for the Sophomore year. The fol- lowing members dropped out of the class during the year: Ruth Falwell, Glenna Deweese, Bobby Kelly, Velvaleen Scott. Mrs. Ruby Miller was chosen as sponsor of the class. Bobby Lockhart, Max Lovett, Jackie Burkeen, Dale Burkeen and Dee Farris represented the 1951 Sophomores in basketball. Peggy Rutland was their attendant to the Basketball Queen. As the Junior year began, they were glad to have Mattie Ann Las- siter join the class. One member of the class, Lauraella Andrus, is mar- ried. The class was honored to have Peggy Rutland, one of their class- mates, elected as cheerleader. They are represented on the basketball team by Jackie Burkeen, Bobby Lockhart, Dee Farris, Max Lovett and Jimmy Connor. Mr. Milton 4Walston is the class sponsor. They are looking forward to their Senior year.
