Last Will and Testament of the Senior Class We, the Senior Class of Almo High School, being of sound mind do ordain and establish this Class Will of 1951-52. To the Junior Class, as our successors of eminent worth, we leave our autographed seats, Senior dignity and class -spirit. Be of better be- havior than we have been and always respect the faculty members to whom we are deeply grateful for the many patient hours they have spent with us. To the Sophomores, we leave our good reputation, ability to learn rapidly and our way of getting along with the teachers. To the Freshmen, we leave our grit, will, and grace to continue on through school. Where there's a will, there's a way. We leave to individual members of the student body the following personal possessions, hoping they will be of use to you in the future: 1 - I, Leland Peeler, bequeath my talent as an artist to Jimmy Connor. 2 - I, Peggy Jackson, will my loud mouth to Pearlene Nanneyjso she won't have to use a loud speaker. 3 - I, Modene Duncan, leave my red hair to Katie Compton. I-Iere's hoping she doesn't have to dye hers. 4 - I, Harry Lovett, will my handsome features to Jimmy Rutland. Maybe he will see the time when he's as good looking as I. 5 - I, Rosetta Wilson, bequeath my ability to write Dale's compositions to Zora Mae Turner. 6 - I, Mary Lou Witty, will my small waistline to Datha Cleaver, so she will reduce without dieting. 7 - I, J. D. Grogan, will my good natured ways to Max Lovett. 8 - I, Lucille Turner, will my height to Allie Mae Vance so she will be as tall as her beau. 9 - I, Fannie Mae McClard, bequeath my dignified ways to Patsy Kingins. Maybe they will be of use to her soon. 10 - I, James Neale, will my ability to make A's to Dale Burkeen. 11 - I, Shirley Alexander, leave my position as cheerleader to Doris Graham. 12 - I, Jo Ann Oldham, will my flirty ways to Mattie Ann Lassiter, pro- vided she will use them as wisely as I have. 13 - I, Sonny Lockhart, will my ability to shoot a basketball with my left hand to Gary Wicker. 14 - I, Mary Frances Lovett, will my ability to giggle in government class to Betty Lou Cope. In witness hereof is attached the signatures of:

' Senior Class Poem of 51-52 B As you turn the pages of this book so dear, You'll find that our names are written here. We, the Almo class of '52, Treasure the years we've shared with you. And as the school year comes to an end, We say so long to every friend. Fannie McClard, the A student of the class, Always works hard and stays to the last. A Home Economic teacher she plans to be, I'm glad she'll teach my children instead of me. Harry Lovett is everyonefs boy, He says he winks at the girls just for joy. He's a swell guy as everyone knows, Let someone mention skipping school and he's ready to go Shirley Alexander is hunting a man, She always looks the best she can. If she doesn't get one she is going to be hurt, But that doesn't keep her from being a flirt. Modene Duncan is very meek and shy, But everyone is saying I wonder why ?' Because if you'll notice those big blue eyes, You'll see that in them glamour lies. I J. D. Grogan's the master mind of our class, If you stay withfhim you'll never be last. Of course J. D. is a very fine kid, Of all his manners the girls try to rid. Rosetta Wilson is having the time of her life, Her ambition is to be a housewife. There's an old saying: Temper goes with red hair, ' But with this gal would that be fair? Mary Frances Lovett is packed with fun, When the boys see her they get ready to run. Altho of her we all are fond, Of all her gang she's the jolliest one. Sonny Lockhart's our basketball star, When there's work to be done he's always far. But if you will notice his choice of a dame, Herefs where Sonny comes in for fame. CContinued on next pagej
