MR MAX LAMB
Superintendent of Schools
Four sears ago some people believed we
were training too many engineers Today
we have less men trarnrng to be engineers
and more demand for them The same
thing is true in other professions Our coun
trx 1S searching for well trained people
Statistics on employment show a high per
centage of those without Jobs are those who
dropped out of school too soon Most ofthe
people we call professional are not as well
prepared as they need to be
People who are Just prepared in one spec1al
field often are thrown out of work rn our
changing world The only safe plan for the
young man or woman today is to become
skilled in some special field and at the
same time secure the broadest education
possible.
If you live successfully in your home in
your church, in your community, in your
country, in this changing world, you will
wish a thousand times for more wisdom than
you can secure. As you grow, your life
should become more interesting.
Signed,
MAX LAMB
