Life’s Business Is to Observe, SCIENCE It has been said that one of man's greatest desires is to learn and that experience is the best teacher. That this idea is accepted by the science department instructors at Alliance High is evident from the way in which these subjects are taught. Less emphasis is placed on memorization of formulas and terms; students learn through reasoning rather than by spoonfeeding from teachers and texts. Modern, well equipped labs simplify the visualization of biological, physical, and chemical processes. Madame Curie or Pasteur would have been very grateful for such adequate laboratory facilities.
