Schneblv was his partner and more astonishing than ex er was the fact that they employ ed Reds Renkm as their special delix erv boy At the next crossing we boarded a trollev operated bv none other than our A A Kramer the trolley companv had extended the tracks out Chew Street to the school eliminating the long walk V e got off at Prep but stiange to say it wasn t the Prep. of bygone days. Sex eral new buildings had been designed and erected by the nationally renowned companv of Freedman and Temko YY e were greeted by Headmaster Riddell and learned that the boarding students had ruined Air. Shalters nerves and he was forced to retire We were shown thru the new buildings bv Head anitor Disman who in- formed us that Trinkle s beer was as good as ever. CThat wasn t saying muchD and that B111 had gone in partnership with his cousin W alter who took care of the beer and Bill the pretzels In the Dorms we met Aronoff a high jump star of Glympic fame: Cooper- man famous mos ie star Egan a local coal dealer' Fetherolf r. also a maternity specialist Grande the president of the American Engineering Co. and Hess and Harris who now headed Hess Brothers and were the biggest riy als of Willis Kuhns who with his partners Haas and Stettler had established a chain of clothing stores throughout Lehigh County, and 'L. Snyder a celebrated artist. After renewing acquaintances we decided to run down town to get a little supper before going to the play. As we entered the Crystal Restaurant who did we meet but Murphy slinging dishes as in the days of old at Prep. As we seated ourselves at a table a gentleman looked over at us. silillili ALPR CH 0 CLAII DIQDIDHECY HILE opening my mail in my office, my eyes fell upon a very formal looking envelope. Upon opening it l was surprised to find that it was nothing other than an invitation from Director Raskin of the Wig and Buskin Club of dear old A. P. S. to attend the thirtieth annual pro- duction entitled Sins of Society and written expressly by Mr. Harry Hutchinson who lately had retired from the stage and begun to write plays. I immediately gave orders to my private secretary, Chas. Hauke, to order my ticket for Allentown and get things ready for my departure the following day. I then called up Dr. C. P. Sell, the maternity specialist, and asked him to accompany me on my trip and have dinner with me that evening, at the Abram's -Schnebly restaurant. That evening after alighting from a Reed-Seaburn Taxi, I found that my friend was already there. We were ushered to a table by Head waiter Kistler and after listening to several delightful selections by the two famous musical en- tertainers Fromer and Cole, succeeded in getting some service from Konschak. WVhile discussing the present positions of several old classmates I was sur- prised to learn that Ioe Tegan was the coach at Notre Dame. McHugh, so Sell said, studied too much Math and Science in an effort to disapprove the Einstein Theory, and had gone crazy and was now in Rittersville, under the care of warden Helvig and that Schiller did so well on his scholarship that they kept him there. When we arrived at Allentown, we left the station and on our way to the hotel almost stumbled over a poor begger. He accosted us with a Gimme two bits for coffee sir. Being big hearted, we chipped in and gave him a dollar in change, whereupon he said thanks Sell and I then immediately recognized our old friend Ryan who had put all his money in an aeroplane and gone broke. His old pal Stautfer was a broker in YVall Street but Paddy was too proud to ask him for a loan. - X X as 'i L K 1 'Twenty-four

Yvhile sipping our soup two very studious looking gentlemen came in and took a table beside us. Yve later recognized them by their accent as Van Gilder, editor of How to Learn Math and Rapp the American Ambassador to Germany. f ,5iLPP.E,fCI-I0 sz! 'alla ,W i llllllli VVe hurried through our supper and rushed back to Prep. to the new auditorium which was erected in loving memory of Charles Miller and Harris Snow. Vile arrived there just in time to see Reinhard and Doll delivering dis- guised ginger ale to act as a little encourager for the actors. In the lobby ofthe auditorium we met another group listening contented- ly to Myers and Rhodes telling of their experiences in the Big League Baseball. As we looked over the crowd we recognized Hagerman, the city chemistg Babe Headley, coach of Muhlenberg Frosh. teamsg Doc. Iones, president of the All American Drug Co.g Mr. Kuntz and Nicoll, prominent bankers of the city. Valdo Ondrejcek, General Parnell of the Reserve Corpsg Mr. Charles Pini, asso- ciated with the Allentown Peanut Co.g Mr. Rice, a noted architectg Leo Shepsky a noted wrestlerg Voorhees and Siergiej outstanding gold starsg and last but not least Mr. E. Stokes Ir. all American guard of Carnegie Tech and now a great Construction Engineer. After the play as we were just coming out of the door who should we run into but a man hurrying to the play which was just over. He was none other than Zulick, late as usual. Q :gl ff Q il Twenty-six
