S E ii ALPREJTZI-1 CD JI SW DELAY TEAM UR relay team was very successful this season. It is composed of George Reed of Beaver Falls, Robert Far- ley of Germantown, Welsh of Tamaqua, Elmer Seifert of Hellertown, Frederick Wavrek of Catasauqua and Elliot Rice of Burlington, Vermont. This team lowered the record which was made by last years' team, and won a place in every race they ran in. In Ianuary they ran at the Meadow Brook Indoor Inter- scholastic Meet. There they won a second place and brought home four medals. At the Scranton lnterscholastics they were more successful taking a first place in the medley relay as well as the mile relay. This time they brought home the bacon in the form of eight gold medals. This ended the indoor meets and the boys prepared for their last relay race at Penn. On the twenty-sixth of April they ran in the National Inter- scholastics Championship Medley Relay of America taking a third place. VVelsh was the hero ofthe day pulling the teams up from ninth to third place.
