To Whom It May Concern: I would like to take this opportunity of expressing my views of this 1948-49 basketball team and also other idle thoughts that might strike me while I am writing this. First, I was well pleased with the season even though I know that we still are capable of doing better. With few exceptions the team did all and more than was expected of them. A very encouraging part is the fact that most of the squad will be back for what we all hope to be one of Allendale's best seasons in 1949-50. I was well pleased with the student backing and especially a lot of credit should be given to the Pep Club, the Cheerleaders and their sponsor, Miss Simpson. To Jerry Potts, this year's captain, Don Price and Bernard McFarland, I wish to say thanks for your hard work and luck in your future life. To the rest of the squad I say you all did a fine job and I hope we are all together again next year. ' We also must not overlook our loyal fans who back us year in and year out.
