CLASS PROPHECY 0 . When informed that it was our lot to draw up the class prohpecy for the Memoirs of 1949, we were scared stiff. We walked the floor, and wrung our hands We couldn't eat we couldn't sleep. In fact, we knew we couldn't, But alas, predetermined and inevitable necessity has made inspired predictors out of us So we hereby set forth our proof by pen. In a vision Jerry saw J o Ann perched on a stool, Kids assembled about to resemble a school. Our card trick was next, so with deck in Don's hand, We cheated a bit. Rose Marie got her man. With our lunch was brought tea and much sugar for The tea leaves were coated with syrup, tee hee. The end of a romance in my cup was sweet, So, we coupled it up with Gene and Marj Leek. The dream man was Jerry so he fell asleep, When awakened he told us our luck was complete. That far in the distance still handsome tho aged, Don Price was in pictures and on every front page. Ouiga we pleaded, your help we now need, Can you see success as a nurse for .Ruth Reed? We watched in amazement, so sure it seemed, For without hesitating it spelled out Indeed . We entered a tent where some gypsies now live, And asked if a reading for Beazie they'd give. The old pot was brewing, the stirring began, And out of the steam danced the gal and her fan. As we started to leave we detected some sounds, In a crystal ball near us we spotted Bob Grounds. The picture was dim so we just might be wrong, He was writing what we all thought was a song. While munching on peanuts much to our surprise, One carried a fortune on paper inside. The sum of its contents we are glad to relate, Told Earline her chances for modeling were great. We know that James Watkins without any doubt, Will follow the trail of his father's mail route. And wi.h signs from a source we refuse to say here, We are sure that Patsy is the girl of the year. Our hunch is that Bernard a stockman will be, With a business partner Gene Hawf we can see. For the three that are left we have tripled our powers, Each thinks of the future as jewels and towers. But a farm of his own is our wish for Don, And a bet on the outcome I've something to pawn. We're counting on Jerry to be our oil king, And breathing a prayer that Ann learns to sing. me,
