An old-world serenity clothes the Ford Memorial, of itself imparting a sense of Allegheny's tradition of Christian reverence. As Reis Library dominates the college's scholastic life, so the Chapel is her esthetic and spiritual haven-where one whose heart is over-full may cry "Sanctuaryl" The chimes at twilight ring out ancient hymns, and many, wearied at the close of long days, find new inspiration in this message of peace and loving kindness. 060
