COLORS: Mint green and White FLOWERS: White rose tinted green MOTTO: Look not back with regret, Nor look ahead in fear, But around in awareness. We Remember . . . Our class, the largest in the history of the school, entered the new high school building on September 10, 1966 as seventh graders. We felt very young, for we were overwhelmed at the size of the building and were constantly getting lost in the hall. Mrs. Pauline Gardner, adviser of the Student Council, had a get acquainted party for us in the gymnasium. We witnessed the dedication of the building in November. In the eighth grade, Mrs. Lila Hamilton took us to Pittsburgh and Miss Dunlap and Mr. Botz took us to Drake's Well. Our English class put on the play "Animal Farm," for the Senior and Junior High School. In ninth grade we changed from an eight period day to a seven period day. The classes were ten minutes longer. We or- ganized parties for two of our favorite teachers, Miss Mabel Dunlap to honor her retirement and Mr. Richard Mullins who ac- cepted a position in California. At these parties we played a game called, "Buck, Buck," which became a joke for the rest of the year. This also was the year our Varsity basketball team brought home the District Championship. Tenth grade separated us into three groups: Academic, General, and Commercial. For some, our meeting Mr. Jan Gal- lagher, the math teacher, was quite an experience. Our money making project was selling chocolate candy bars. The Junior-Senior Prom was the biggest event in eleventh grade. The planning for f'Summer Placel' occupied our thinking from November when we hired the orchestra to the night of the Prom in May. We sold Tom Wat Kits to raise money for our decorations. The Senior Year that we waited for so long went by so quickly with each event being enjoyed for the final time. Our foot ball team had matured enough that we were Winning as many as we were losing. The choral concert in which many of us had participated during our junior year was repeated by request. Mrs. Louise Girard directed us in the senior class play. Then graduation came when we found it so difficult to say good-bye to our friends, teachers and even the building itself. about being an officer Dotterer, Vice Presidentg and Mrs. Lynn.
