This group performed at many activities, as well as for the pre-high schoolers throughout the county. They also displayed their talents in shows at the Salinas Golf and Country Club and the Masonic Temple. Officers were Richard Briggs, president: Mark Deome, vice-president. 214 Activities You in't Seen Nothing Ye . . . allies During the prospective sport seasons, Alisal has always added a touch of class by staging rallies. This year proved to be no exception, with many of the entertaining shows being presented throughout the athletic seasons. Headlining all the shows was the action of the pep squads, whose routines and cheers greatly boosted the rooting spirit. Some very funny and original skits were usually offered as a gift from the Leadership class and its officialities. Coaches also appeared to introduce the teams and present their personal outlooks on the season. Lastly, there was always the popular class competition, offering the classes a chance to exhibit their own amount of school spirit. 65 awe You Ever Been ellown . . . Vocal Department This year was a virtual success as Alisal's vocal orgnizaions ran true to form and kept the school's tradition lor excellent music. Miss Helsby was exhuberant in her praise for the vocal groups and was proud of all involved. The vocalists presented Christmas and Spring concerts for the enjoyment of the school and also participated in a valley-wide concert at Hartnell. They were rewarded well as they journeyed to San Francisco to attend the opera Madame Butterfly. l just have to say l love you in a song.
