66 he Show Must Co 01199 . . . Barefoot In Ihe ark In its inaugural performance. the Alisal Drama Department presented Neil Simon's BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. This is a comedy concerning the hectic lives of a newlywed couple in New York City. Alisal's foreign exchange student, Mary Regan. demonstrated excellent acting ability in the lead role of Corie Bratter, the young wife. Keith Rice portrayed Corie's husband Paul. and Sandy Ruttschow was cast as Mrs. Banks. Corie's mother. Chris Wood was featured as Victor Velasco. the couple's bizarre neighbor, while Dan Ferdinando, Jeff Simpson. Tom McClusky, and Sheila Petticord rounded out the cast. This outstanding presentation could not have been possible without the hard work of play director Jose Marquez, Alisal's drama coach. The entire Drama department is truly to be commended for this fantastic piece of work. 208 Activities

WI Am eman . . . Redhead Basketball ame On February 13, the Hartnell Gym was invaded by the All- American Redheads Women Basketball Team. Sponsored by the Boosters Club and GAA. the girls met the challenge of One Hour Martinizing. a team consisting of Salinas area alumni. The Redheads staged a very entertaining exhibition at halftime, performing difficult tricks with basketballs. However, all was not fortunate for the Redheads, as their 36th game winning streak ended as Martinizing won 53-52. as Alisal grad Jim Huff sank a last second bucket. Although they lost. the Redheads proved to be a skillful team and provided much excitement in the games. L, ' 4 .4 xx.
