Coordination, Compotltlvo . . . CAA. The Girls Athletic Association is another nationwide organization in which Alisal actively participates. GAA serves as the administration for the girls' sports teams. Five coaches serve as advisors: Mrs. Camany, tennis and softball: Mrs. Frees, basketball and track: Mrs. Mortenson. volleyball: Miss Little. gymnastics: and Mrs. Barton. swimming. In order to function, the GAA staged a candy sale to raise funds. They also presented a Christmas Pizza Party, an elementary Play Day, and their annualo Honors Banquet. Club officers were Cathy Powell. Susie Simon, Emma Cardona, Sandy Carrillo, Natalie Canate. Games, Gatherings . . . Soccer Club , The major accomplishment of Alisal's Soccer Club was participating in a pre- season soccer league as a tune-up for prospective league slates, Roberto Fluiz led the team through an undefeated exhibition schedule, triumphing over the area's strongest teams. Carmel and Gonzales. The Junior Varsity lost only one in their stint. Also on the Soccer Club's agenda was the ' election of team cheerleaders and a soccer queen. Consisting totally of females. the Track Interest Club worked at all home track meets, keeping statistics and selling concessions. The members were richly rewarded for their efforts with a banquet at the conclusion of the season. Advisor Mr. Allen was high in praise for the excellent work of these girls. Electronics Club V 'JF ,Q lim s. 2'-3 N r, '4 A A Once again with Mr. Ogborn at the helm. the Electronics Club strove throughout the year to advance the skills of electronics for their members. The club performed many projects. In an attempt to expand basic electronic progress to include the entire student body, the Electronics Club sponsored a Radio Controlled Airplane Demonstration in March.
