Alisal's letter girls expanded their program to include many of the school's activities, Presently, the letter girls travel and march with the band at various parades, and also attend rallies and football games, This pep squad was advised by Mrs. Mortenson. Among the mascot's duties is helping the cheerleaders in promoting school spirit. This year's mascot, Jo Ellen Atkins, sees this as only a fragment of the obligations of the mascot, She feels the mascot should be a true reflection and should be apparent throughout the school year. :ini lvl

fTtiefPageam formations, friencll . . . rill earn Alisal's Drill Team was active this year in attendance at rallies and games. This squad added much enthusiasm and spirit to our rooters. The drill team included: Tracy Rose, Penny Akers, Beth Martinez, Cathy Hack, Janice Eldred-Head. Barbara Harland, Vivian Samples, and Theresa Rocha. ntlwsiasrn, Entertaining . . . ajorettes Members of the 1974-75 Maiorette squad were: Martha Horta-Head, Lupe i Castillo, Pat Deanda, Yolanda Speers. and Janette Anderson, Their acting advisor was Mrs. Stevens. The majorettes were yet another squad which added color to many school functions. In band parades and halftime shows these girls provided spirit with their baton-twirling routines. They were also fundamental in rooting activities such as rallies. 180 V Organizations ntron, arching . . ageant Ilirls While our band paraded, the pageant girls were always there to provide style by toting flags to bring up the rear. This device added pageantry and marked the success of the group. This years' pageant girls were: Cheryl Mellick- Head, Joyce Basset, and Velma Buen.
