Alisa! Booters 146 Athletics :wish Second n I3l Alisal's 1975 soccer team, coached by Mr. Clark. finished second in the league this year with a 12-2 won-loss record. After an undefeated pre-season log. the team met powerful Watsonville in the league opener. and lost, 4-1. However, they bounced back to defeat Salinas. Harbor, and North Salinas to remain in second place. In their next meeting. they revenged their earlier loss and defeated Watsonville, 4-2. But their playoff hopes were dashed with an untimely upset loss to Salinas. and they were forced to settle for second in the league. Outstanding players for this team were All-Monterey Bay League selections Roberto Ruiz and Victor Favila. Also lauded for their play by Coach Clark were Pablo Correa. Jaimie Lopez. With all of last year's Iettermen returning. Coach John Deaver's squad boasted a powerful roster of skilled players. Paced by sophomore Lance Osborn and senior Jim Sasules, the tennis team bowed to Aptos and then smashed San Lorenzo Valley to commence their season.
