The queen candidates then entered the field. The queen candidates were: Miss Julie Azzopardi escorted by Alfred Perez. Miss Fay Bradshaw with escort Duane Anderson, Miss Debbie Salinas whose escort was Greg Pittard. and Miss Angie Marquez with escort Fred Osborn. Chosen to be Princesses for the Junior class were Miss Janice Haydon escorted by Phil Dyk and Miss Roberta Heess with escort Tom Gray. The Sophomore class once again nominated Miss Yolanda Barragan whose escort was Ruben Pulido. The Freshman Princess was Miss Kim Tolsen escorted by Cory Patton. The suspense which had lingered throughout the day was finally broken as Miss Angie Marquez was crowned Homecoming queen by former queen Miss Mary Cowan. Angie was presented with the queen's crown and red roses. The band also held a Pancake Breakfast and raffled off a motorcycle and a television in order to make money for a trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately. the trip could not be made due to the energy crisis. The year's officers were Suzanne Anderson, president, Jonetta Chenea, vice-president, Janice Haydon. secretary and Leonora Sirwet, treasurer. Drum major was Allen Chinn.
