Experiencing German Culture . . . German Club Don't look now, but they're trying to sell us some more Gummi Bears. I t 3 4 Sprechen sie Deutch? Bringing together people who are interested in German culture was the purpose of the German Club. The members participated in activities which had something to do with Germany's way of life. Every year they take a field trip to the Monterey Viennese Bakery, sell Gummi Bears, and participate in the Christmas Door Decoration contest. For three years they've had a German banquet for the families of the club members. Keeping the club active were president, Bill Cunningham, vice-president, Esther Russo, secretary, Marsha Ward, treasurer, Alicia Echon, and advisor, lVlrs. Smith. Bill summed up the year by commenting: With all the activities we were able to participate in, I have found them enjoyable and wish they could continue so that others may also enioy them. Backing Up our Track Athletes Track Interest The Track Interest Club had its share of activities this year at the track and cross country meets. Cheering and encouraging, doing the little jobs that had to be done at the meets were the main function of this club. These jobs ranged from keeping score to raking the jump pits. They also painted and lettered the new name boards that were hung this year. The club officers werei Rosanne Ryburn, president, Jessie Pabros, vice-president, Edwing Worden, secretary. and Michelle Lineberry, treasurer.
