The Sweater Holders To be recognized as a Block A sweater holder is a great honor: just ask any sweater wearer. The girls worked hard to earn the right to wear these sweaters. Taking time out from all the sports, the girls enjoyed activities such as swimming parties and barbecues. They also sponsored a car wash which in turn lead to a party.

The Competitive Organization Getting the girls interested in after school sport and creating a unity between the girls was the Girls' Athletic Association's goal. Officers for this year included: Sharon Andrus. president. Terri Bozzo, vice- president, Beth Dyk, secretary, Karen Doris, treasurer, Liz Edu, fund raising, Teresa Gonzales, publicity, and Carol Hale, records, Having this responsibility gave the girls a new insight, since all the sports are now interscholastic. which makes competition stronger. This makes practice twice as hard, Mrs, Camany was always there for a helping hand when things got rough for the girls, Sharon commented: Athletics is an important part of any girI's life. I Believe in Music The Vocal Ensemble is a highly select, small group which represents the Music Department in many concerts for the school and community. These students are given an opportunity to explore music which would not 'be possible in larger groups. The students held many fund raising activities to help pay for their special outifts. The Vocal Ensemble was very proud to have Mrs. DiGiralamo as their advisor. The officers this year were: president, Danny ,,w- Paying attention adds to a better singer. The Vocal Ensemble Group. . . Vocal Ensemble Simpson: Vice president, Penny Bingham: secretary, Sylvia Chacong and treasurer, Gloria Simon. When Danny was asked about Vocal Ensemble, he replied: The Vocal Ensemble is at times a great part in the life of a person who plans to make singing a part of his life. Vocal Ensemble has given me a feeling of satisfaction and comfort. The closeness to my teacher at crucial points of my musical life has helped me find the right way to go to be myself.
