People at Peace . . . .F.S. This year, the American Field Service was fortunate to have Jean-Luc Bodson as its foreign exchange student from Belgium. During his year at Alisal, Jean-Luc stayed at the home of Mrs. Nancy Pura. Raising money to support the AFS student and the Americans Abroad program gave these officers well earned jobs: Sylvia Chacon. president. Mary Scott, vice-president, Sandy Ruttschow, secretary. Lori Gannone, treasurer, and Gina Thoeni, historian. They helped to expand the treasury to assure and send the two American Abroad finalists, Mary Scott and Janice Haydon, to a foreign country. Helping the School Out . . . Metals Club The Metals Club has a certain signifigance for its existence: helping others, In the past years, the Metals Club has built castles, drawbridges, and carousels for previous proms. lf you remember that big hat with the balloons flying out of it at the Jamboree. that too was made by the metals club, lt's built bicycle racks and assisted Eddy Escobar in improving our campus, President this year was Matt Cruthersg vice-pres., Earl Escobar, and Secretary, Rick Munoz. Mr. Larry Hale once again advised this helpful and needy organization. Matt Cruthers had this to say about the club: We are glad to help any organization in need of our service. Trojan ' Hey far out man, was the summerization of this year's yearbook staff. given by editor Janice Haydon, who performed well in her maiden year of editorship. Ably advising the class for the fifth year was Mr. Angelo. Helping Janice was Brenda Olds, who worked as a a co-editor of Organizations with fellow co-editor Jessie Pabros and Sindy Ingram, In her third hectic year on the staff, Fay Bradshaw piloted the entire Senior Section receiving minor aid from fellow senior Flon Ritchie. Chris Morales teamed with Valerie Tonus to produce the Activities section. Mike Pura, editor of Boys' Sports worked hard to meet his deadline, as did Karen Doris who covered Girls' Sports, Sylvia Chacon, with creative inspiration from Debbie Sims, led the Classes' section with help from Liz Edu and Esther La Febre. The Faculty section was managed by Jimmy Mazzuca, and Bernadette Agpaoa created an outstanding Ads section, Providing miscellaneous help were: Allen Chinn and Ed Ramirez. Competent photographers were Chris Armington and Mario Amaro, With all of the work completed, a familiar cry rose from the staff-members. Next year will be better, followed by Mr. AngeIo's somber, I hope so. Q,-. 3,--.
