Varsity Cindermen Finish High In MBL While not as strong as last year's MBL powerhouse, Alisal's varsity track team was excellent in its performances. The varsity lost a heavy load of talented athletes to graduation last year, but still had capable performers to set the pace for the season. Outstanding cindermen were Carlos Jacobo in the discus. Speedster Mark Domingo, high jumper Jim Romig, and shotputter Bob Hopper. Leading the way in the hurdling events was David Dew, who also doubled as a sprinter in the 100 yard dash, and also Alex Ceralde and Joe Dew, The top distance men were Jim Lucero, Artie Garcia, and Mike Terry.
