The D's started off the 1970 season with a great victory over North Salinas with the score 44-16. At the end of the season the D's had S a fine record of 9 wins and 3 losses and placed number two in Monterey Bay League play. The D's starting line-up was comprised of Danny Martiriez, team captain Doug Thompson, Rudy Gonzales, Richard Gutierrez, and Willie Pura. Team members cited for their fine performances throughtout the year included Rich Bradley, sophomore, Mark Domengo, freshman, Robert Ceralcle, freshman, and quarterback Lewis Brewer. Not to be overlooked was the fine blocking of offensive linemen Steve lrathen, sophomore, Nicky Busane, sophomore, and lVlike Chena, junior. At the end of the season the C's had a 9-3 won-loss record and took second place in Monterm-y Bay League play. The Cys starting line-up for the year was Eddie Hernandez, captain, Freddie Osborn, eo-captain, Javier Alcoeer, Fransico De La Torre, and Gene Romo.
