LISAL ROOTERS PROVE VICTORIOUS AT CCS PLAYOFFS Faithfully hacking up our varsity haskethall team as they rose to become CCS Champs, the Alisal High School rooting section claimed their portion of CCS honors as they won the Rooters' Trophy for the second year in a row. Uur varsity cheerleaders and songleaders were graded on spirit, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and overall appearance. VVhite shirts and our stage hand helped to boost our rooting section to victory. VOCATIO AL EDUCATIO PREPARE TUDE TS EOR FUTURE CAREER A segment of school life at Alisal High School that is rarely in the limelight is that of Vocational lfducation. This program provides immeasurable benefits to its participants in more ways than one. Fields such as nursing, carpentry, automotive mechanics, and retail merchandising, to name a few, were explored by the students. Besides allowing students to obtain some of their own money, it developed a sense of responsibility and understanding towards labor-mana ement relationshivs. it also act uainted many eonle A h 1 , D with the workings of the Federal lneome lax system as some people earned enough money in the course of their endeavors to qualify for the IRS. Under the guidance of Mr. Robert jones, the program has been expertly developed and carried out at Alisal. Wlorkirig closely with students and their employers, Mr. jones was able to establish a close rapport between the community businessmen and Alisal.
