C AND D HOOPSTERS HAVE OUTSTANDING SEASON ,AA' f Domingo Gutierrez shoots over Cowboy Sawyer out-jumps the defenders. tip off. The C and D hoopsters had their best season this year as the D's, losing only to North Salinas, Salinas, and Watsonville, came up with a 12-3 won-loss record and the league title. Wins included games over Nlonterey, Seaside, and the championship game against North Salinas. The C's ended the year with an 8-7 won-loss record. Excellent ball playing was shown by Tom Pura, Nino Hernandez, Dan Salviejo, John Trafton, and Glen Grice. Both teams, coached by Arthur Gilbert, gained much experience and displayed fine playing techniques throughout the season.
