244 PRE IDE TIAL FITNESS AWARDS This year the Miss Fitness award went to Pat Crain. Pat ranked high in all events and held the 1969-1970 school record for the softball throw. Runners-up in the Miss Fitness contest were Jackie Simon and Sherry Overby. The competition for the Miss Fitness award enabled over fifty Trojanettes to receive the Presidential Fitness Award. Many school records were broken by the girls. Jackie Plouchart broke the 50 yard dash record with a time of 206.2 seconds. Sharing a new school record in the 600 yard run with a time of 1240.0 were Eleanore Rykowski and Sherry Overby. Jackie Simon's 77 push-ups made her the new record holder of that event. Emily Romig broke her own long jump record of last year with a new jump of 7'7 . These girls received excellent coaching form Mr. Florence Camany and their respective P.E. teachers. Runners-up in the Miss Fitness contest. Honorable mention: Marsha Lee, Rosemary Lim, Kathy Conley, Elvia Flores, and Eleanore Rykowski. This year's freshmen win awards. In E nm FRONT ROW: A. 46 REESE HARBOR, LOIS CRA E KING A D QUEE OF HEART Louis Crane and Reese Harbor were named Queen and King of Hearts at the Valentine's Dance this year. The Valentine's Dance was one of the best dances of the year. The Valentine's Dance was sponsored by F.F.A. The proceeds from the dance were given to A Cappella and the band. The remainder of the money went for the prizes and F.F.A. FORTYSEVENTH OFF BROADWAY provided the music for the night. TOP LEFT: Grooving' to the sounds of FORTY-SEVENTH OFF BROADWAY.
