The Salinas game was sparked by the line performance of A Team members.They included senior Pat Crain, juniors Delia Nerez, Kathy Souza, Donna Stockton, and sophomores Martha Rush and Dot Trimble. The B Team had an equally fine season with key performances provided by senior team members JoAnn Boles, Linda Briggs, and Noriko Bunden. Underclassmen Carmen Crain, Amelia lsla, Glenda Woodrow and Marlene Jefferson also contributed much to the team. This year the teams had a new coach, Mrs. Honnors. 244 PRE IDE TIAL FITNESS AWARDS This year the Miss Fitness award went to Pat Crain. Pat ranked high in all events and held the 1969-1970 school record for the softball throw. Runners-up in the Miss Fitness contest were Jackie Simon and Sherry Overby. The competition for the Miss Fitness award enabled over fifty Trojanettes to receive the Presidential Fitness Award. Many school records were broken by the girls. Jackie Plouchart broke the 50 yard dash record with a time of 206.2 seconds. Sharing a new school record in the 600 yard run with a time of 1240.0 were Eleanore Rykowski and Sherry Overby. Jackie Simon's 77 push-ups made her the new record holder of that event. Emily Romig broke her own long jump record of last year with a new jump of 7'7 . These girls received excellent coaching form Mr. Florence Camany and their respective P.E. teachers. Runners-up in the Miss Fitness contest. Honorable mention: Marsha Lee, Rosemary Lim, Kathy Conley, Elvia Flores, and Eleanore Rykowski. This year's freshmen win awards. In E nm FRONT ROW: A.
