The Library Guild members help in the library in many different capacities. TRACK I TERE T The voluntary work put out this year by Track Interest consisted of working at track meets, cross country meets, selling football programs, and meeting the needs of the cross country and track teams. The members also set up concession stands at track and cross country meets. When there was an away track or cross country meet, a few members of the club traveled with the team to rally their spirits. The sponsor of the Track Interest Club was lVlr. Dick Casper. The officers of the club this year were Caren lVloore, President, lVlyrna Abaya, Vice-President, Delia Nerez, Secretary, and Nina Sum, Treasurer for fifth period. For sixth period, the officers were Kathy Conley, President, Lydia Ramirez, Vice-President, Linda Schneider, Secretary, and Judy Alexander, Treasurer. LIBRARY G ILD Sponsor of the Library Guild was lVlrs. Ellen Wilson. Jesse Sanchez was President, Judy Vaught, Vice-President, lVlarilyn Harden, Secretary, and Joe Lugo, Treasurer. Library Guild promoted interest in books, libraries, and reading to its members. Library Science interest was also stimulated by field trips to public and university libraries, book binderies, and printing plants. Wlviiiunw Beth Werner takes time out to look over A.F.S. notes. AMERICAN FIELD SERVICE Mrs. Hainds and Miss Kruwel were sponsors of the American Field Service this year. Becky Dercihsweiler was President, Beth Werner was Vice President, Terry Twiggs was Secretary, and Tahni Pyle was Treasurer. This year the American Field Service brought us Beth Werner from Norway. The club raised the money with which to sponsor our Foreign Exchange student during her studies.
