After a scoreless deadlock for three complete
periods, half-back Rich Billingslea heaved a '20
yard pass to Ernie Pitts in the end zone, and Dom
Stala booted the placement to edge Rochester 7-0.
With Ambridge leading at halftime, Aliquippzfs
Billingslea scored from three yards out after Bill
Tipper had rolled off 56 yards. Stala converted
the placement and Aliquippa led Ambridge 7-6.
However, with three seconds remaining in the
ball game, Corey, star halfback of the Bridgers,
scored from 19 yards out after having returned a
punt to that spot. This nevertheless, was a moral
victory for the Quips as the line showed much
improvement and determination.

Returning to their hilltop stadium, the Quips
won their fire! "easy "ietory" of the year as llarry
Hines, scoring two touchdowns and gaining Q36
yards in 13 attempts, led the Quip eleven in their
defeat of Central fatholic 35-0.
Billingslea scored twice and passed to Allen for
another score, but the Qnips were unable to go
ahead of the Beaver Falls eleven. The Tigers
scored with about four minutes left in the ball
game to edge the Quips Q7-20.
In a "battle of mud" the New Vastle llurrieanes
defending YYPIAL Class AA Champs, scored two
touchdowns to heat the Aliqnippa eleven hy a
14-6 score. Bill Tipper's 28 yard run featured a
drive of 73 yards in seven plays for the only Quip

"Presenting for your enioymenl this half time, the Aliquippa High
School Band!"
From the SC2iS0l1iS first football game to the
last strains of "Poinp and Circumstancei' floating
over the graduating seniors, Mr. Sporny and
members of the Hand are busy. Always on the
job furnishing music for ball games, parades,
National llonorSoeicty infiuctions, pep assemblies,

tivities, the lianii is also called upon for special
music during the pre-Vhristlnas season and, of
course. their annual Voncert. Such achievement
is marie possible by the gr0up's basic ingredient!
cooperation.

To uphold the ideals of this organization
striving in eyerv way to build a fellowship of
woman and girls and to institute an enthusiasm
of personal and social living to which we are com-
mitted by our faith" is the pledge of the Y-Teens.
Hey, where's the mustard?-Oh! my marsh-
mallow fell into the fire.-Say- the "Drive-Inn
is just down the road. Yes, the September weiner
roast started the Y-Teens off to a well-rounded
year of fellowship and service. The "Ha and 1Ie
Banquet," making tray favors, initiation, the
swimming party, and bowling party were high-
lights of the Y-Teens' many activities for the
year.
As We go to press the Y-Teens are preparing
for the annual "BIay Dance" scheduled for Fri-

CONGRATULATIONS
Our congratulations and good wishes to the young men and women
who are graduating from Alrquippa High School
You face a disturbed world
A powerful and godless regime seeks to impose its pagan ways upon
the rest of the world either by open warfare or subversive and secret
methods designed to undermine and sap the strength of all who are
strong enough to oppose
Our strength rests upon our capacity for individual liberty and our
ability to retain and enloy this liberty is determine by our moral and
dependent and inseparable The extent to which we have had both s
the secret of our great material power and productive strength The
extent to which we grow in individual moral and spiritual strength will
measure the extent we remain individually free and materially strong
Your future and the future of all free men and women will depend on
how we in America measure up in this test of our capacity for liberty
