— — FACES of Algonac High School Algonac, Michigan The 1 972- 1 973 Algonquin Introduction 4 Seniors 75 Administration and Faculty 37 Sports 45 Activities 55 Underclassmen 82 Faces . . . pleasant , surprised , posed, and priceless. The faces of our friends caught in a moment . . . captured for our memory. 1 Sunglasses and smiles signs and sounds . . . faces reflect them all. The faces tell the story. The faces record its chapters. Everywhere there are faces . . . some happy , some solemn with thought ; some sad . . . but always they are there. 10 Faces are sometimes which reflect what we see and sometimes windows that let others see in. 11 12 Do we know the meaning of faces ? Do we understand the stories they tell? 13 14 Honor Students Carolyn Centala Shirley Fredericks, Sheree Thueme 16 Peggy Kenzie; Salutatorian, Janee McLeod Brad Forsythe, Barb Bischoff Class Officers CLASS MOTTO Learn to live, then live to learn. New additions to the festivities, the nighttime rally and bonfire were extremely successful, possibly because of the free cider and doughnuts offered to those who attended. There were the usual deco- rated halls, cheering contests, and games during the week. As the enthusiasm grew, each class was sure they had won the prized Spirit Jug. 73 Homecoming Court and Escorts: Soph — Doug Marquardt, Judie Rolewicz; Fresh — John Wonsowicz, Cindy Ragland: Juniors — Mike Isaacs. Leslie Love- Seniors — Jim Trudeau, Peggy Kenzie: Juniors — John Sauber. Linda Potter; Seniors — Kurt Hartman, Sue Venhuizen. Tim Vervaecke, Barb Bischoff. 74 Homecoming 72 was a success for the Algonac Varsity as well as the Senior class. The Varsity tackled the Anchor Bay Tars, and at halftime the class of 73 was awarded the Spirit Jug, to no one ' s surprise. Peggy Kenzie was crowned Homecoming Queen to top off the festivities. After the game, the Homecoming Court, football players, and Coaches were treated to dinner at Henry ' s and all Algonac was invited to attend. Terry accepts the jug for the Seniors.
