The club, under the direc- tion of Mr. Thielke, planned to give the students interested in photography a chance to get actual ex- perience in developing films, enlarging pictures, and making prints. The club had a membership of twelve students. H. S. The thirteen members are Latin students under Mr. Honkomp's guidance. The purpose of the club is to gain more knowledge of Roman life, customs, language and the practical and cultural value of Latin. Wafuimg Tfowmd Wear JL,0fl160M Under the supervision of the new home econom- ics teacher, Miss Cooper, the F.H.A. began a program of revision and increased activity. In addition to the annual spring trip, a tea for the teachers, a UNICEF drive, and an FHA-FFA Christmas party, tray favors were prepared for the hospital, a party was given for orphans, and a mother-daughter banquet was held in conjunction with the initiation of new members and installation of new officers. These, as well as all the other activities, were aimed at fulfilling the club's motto Toward New Horizons. There were eight-four members under the direc tion of Emy Wiesner, President: Terri Hoffman, Vice- President: Elaine Columb, Secretary: Joanne Tlachac, Treasurer: Linda Guth, Reporter, Mary Bero, Histor- ian, and Diana Viste, Parliamentarian. Burmeister. f 3mm foam Ma World The fifty members of the Student Forum, un- der the guidance of Miss Higgins, met to discuss current topics selected by the students. Panel dis- cussions were on topics of world and national affairs, teenage problems and a travel talk by Mr. Koss, who recently visited the Soviet Union. Officers for the year were Terrie Hoffmann, President: Barbara Tlachac, Vice -President: Clifford Lienau, Secretaryg and John Charles, Treasurer. Cmlam Gazing dp The Spotlights is a Drama Club of thirty-eight members under the direction of Mr. Honkomp. Its aim is to give all students a greater appreciation for dramatics and to give them a chance to take part in dramatics and speech. New furniture and props for the stage were acquired and members assisted with the one -act play contest and the class plays.
