Leadership events of the chapter included par- ticipation in the local, county, and state fair exhibi- tions, Northeastern Livestock Show, state judging con- test, officer training school, Green Lake Convention, Junior Dairymen's Association State Convention, lo- cal and district speaking contests, and Public Service Scholarship Essay Contest. xflf, 'A Principal projects for the year were the Annual Parent-Son Banquet, a rat and mouse campaign, cal- endar sale, certified seed sale, planting of 5, O00 re- forestation trees, and adult welding class, Christmas dance, Red Cross Campaign, and a trip to Detroit and Canada. Special achievements and awards were a Second National F.F.A. Chapter Award, and two top ratings in showmanship for hogs and cattle in Kewaunee County for the seventh consecutive year. Wafuimg Tfowmd Wear JL,0fl160M Under the supervision of the new home econom- ics teacher, Miss Cooper, the F.H.A. began a program of revision and increased activity. In addition to the annual spring trip, a tea for the teachers, a UNICEF drive, and an FHA-FFA Christmas party, tray favors were prepared for the hospital, a party was given for orphans, and a mother-daughter banquet was held in conjunction with the initiation of new members and installation of new officers. These, as well as all the other activities, were aimed at fulfilling the club's motto Toward New Horizons. There were eight-four members under the direc tion of Emy Wiesner, President: Terri Hoffman, Vice- President: Elaine Columb, Secretary: Joanne Tlachac, Treasurer: Linda Guth, Reporter, Mary Bero, Histor- ian, and Diana Viste, Parliamentarian.
