FIRST ROW: J. LeClouX, J. Canney, Meet Wie in Sa.,Lm lawn w Swift The Senior Class play was presented on December 4 to the public and the following day to the student body. Mr, Nass directed the three-act comedy, Meet Me in St. Louis. Kenneth Hucek and Judy Feld played the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the parts of their children were played by Dan Lienau, Vicki Johnson, Joanne LeC1oux, Mary Muench, and Jill Canney, Also in the play were Nelson Gigstad, LeRoy Sobania, Julie Viste, Marlene Mauer, Orrin Zirbel, Judy Delain, Glen Kolmorgen, and Randy Kostichka, Down to Earth, a comedy-fantasy in three acts by Bettye Knapp, was presented on March ll and 12 by the Junior Class. The play was unique in that its prologue took place in space, The production was under the direction of Mr. Nass, with Janet Sell and Louise Rutz as student directors. Il . ll Extracurricular activities are a vital part of school life and Black Out, aone-act play, directed by Mr, and Mrs. Duvel, illustrates this point, The play won the local elimination contest October 16, went on to receive an A rating at Preble, placed third at De Pere, then received a B rating at New London. Those taking part in the play were David Arne- son, Peggy Busch, Bob Serrahn, and Becky Granius. A major activity of the a cappella choir, under the direction of Mr. Klimko, was the production of a two-act operetta, The Mikado. This Japanese musical comedy, by Gilbert and Sullivan, was presented to the public on February ll and 12. All the seventy-seven choir members worked diligently to make the production a success.
