We enjoyed our grade school days very much with our picnics, hikes, and programs; but we were even happier when we entered the High School Building. The first great event which we dreaded and were glad to have past was the eighth grade test. Then we were promoted to the ninth grade where we could participate in various high school activities such as f. H, A, , Y-Teens, Fi-Y, basketball, baseball, and cheerleading. Our basketball boys were Jimmy, Ernie, Danny, and Loren. Those who were cheerleaders in previous years were Camille, Patty, and Myrtle. In the Sophomore year probational members for the Honor Society were chosen. They were Jimmy, Oolda, Faye Lou, and Myrtle.’ During this year our class was very proud to re¬ ceive eleven certificates from scholarship tests in which several members participated. Sue Ramsdell placed seventh in the State in V crld History and we were very proud of her.

i During the eleventh year, December 13, 1952we received our class rings which we prized very much xhe Junior play This Ghost Business was presented April 10, 1953, under the direction of George McCoy. We will always remember our adventurous rehearsals ano tne joy we had pre¬ senting the play After long planning and hard woik, we honored the Class of 1953 with a Coronation Banquet held May 8, 1953, in the School Dining Room- We all agree that it was a success i « Our big and last year has come Starting out, it was a full year ahead It has been hard work, but good times. First we had our class pictures tcken at Listz ' Stu¬ dio in Kenton, Ohio. On December 3, of the same year, we presented tho Senior play ' Taming the Brat under the direc¬ tion of our class sponsor, Mrs. Wissinger ■ ’After long hard practices and fun we had presenting the play, we were sorry to realize our play was over. ' Most of the members in our class took part in the operetta, Purple Towers under the direction of Mrs Towey. It was presented December 18, 1953: and was the first one presented here for a number of years and we were glad that we could participate in it. Eight of our class took part in the District • Senior Scholarship Test held in Kenton, Ohio, January 18, 1954. Since the history must be off ' the. pross before our year is completed, I must proceed blindly in what may take place: Several of the Seniors were given parts in the Speech Class play Jo’s Boys under the direction ' of Mrs. Wissinger. The date of the play is set for March 12, 1954. It is customary for the Junior class to entertain the Seniors each spring and we are looking forward to this event with keen anticipation and pleasure. The Baccalaureate Service and Commoncement are scheduled for May 23- 1954. This will climax our school ca¬ reer and we approach it with- joy m achievement but, also a tinge of regret that these associations formed.in our lives are to be broken . That night as we receive our diplomas wo shall be wondering what the world holds for us-. in the future. ' . -■ ? ; - t • ' • ■ -■ We are very proud of our class.
