. ’ E TIOR CLASS’ -HISTORY 1953 The class of ni' eteen hundred a’ d fiftj -three started out with thirty-six pupils in the first grade. Of the original thirty-six . . pupils Phyllis ' ininernian ; Patsy Orders; Betty Givens; Gayle Moore; Shirley Hughes; Ned flail Gerald McDaniel; Gene Beard; Paul McGlaughlin; Glenn Moore ; remained. Many were lost as transfers. The class gained Ted Moore in the second grade; Jsralon Parker, Don Prater in the third; Barbarba Allen, Hash Allen, in the fifth; Neil Hall in the sixth; Irene England, in the ninth; Geneva Neeley, Don Mallov; in the tv elfth. During our grade school we had great many activities going on vjhich we looked forv ard to especially our grade assemblies, hikes, and parties After we got in high school our clubs got more worthj - and meant more to us, h‘e had Y-Teens; F.H.A.; Hi-Y ; musice; and sports. During the high school years we had four senior girls being cheerleaders and six boys going cn.t for basketball. 'Be received our Junior class rings December 7» 1951 of which v;e • . ' . . were all proud of. In our Junior year we helped with the Public Speaking Play Finders Creepers given March 27 28, 1952 directed by R’.ngtU'g We gave our r.'-c-y A Fe.- dy Made, Fair ily ’inder the direction of George MclSoy April 25, 19j2, The Junior year ended by giving the Seniors a reception at the Elks Club at Findlay hlay 9» 195? Y e had an enjoyable evening together. The senior ye'r started out with much excitment or v e looked • • • t f . • forward to having our pictures taken and getting started on the annual. We gave our senior play October ' 23, 1952 The Boarding House Reach , v ith George Mc'Gjy as our director. We 7ent to Failor’s Studio and had our senior pictures taken and received them December 9» 1952.

Jack Streets, the former Betty Givens t She had just given birth to her second set of trins , Johino and Rhonie. As v;c ;7cro chatting about our good times at Algor High, she vas telling mo about the lost Alumni banguet vjhich I regretted missing very much Barbara Craft and her f ' husband arc living in the Blue Grass of Kentucky. (Barb is very busy taking care of her three curly-haired boys). Ifr. Kash Allen and his wife, llarlonc, have throe children and are living in Nev; York whore Kash is working as on orchitec l in charge of the Now United Nations building. (Ho didn't like the old one.) Irene England, bettor known as Blondio. is quite busy giving permanents to girls and raanecuring boy's finger nails ♦ Patsy Orders is her competitor —selling Toni Home Permanents. Patsy is also a house v ifo in her spare time. Paul kbGlaughlin. a woll-knov.-n bachelor, is m?:king his life in the Navy as a U.D.T. Forman. Gone Board, who has finished his course in agriculture is now a very prosperous farmer. Ho and his vrife,.tho former Myrtle Cramer, live in Wisconsin (tho dairy state). Phvllis ZimraerLian has completed her course in Business School, and is 'private secretary for tho Packard Auto Sales. She, her husband and two girls are now living on Market Street Boulevard, Lima, Ohio. Ned Hall. 7ho oversees the Soiota Land Company also is a salesman of John Deer Jbiplomonts, for tho Christy Tractor Company. Ho married his high school sweet- hearty Betty Gross. As tho saying goes, Time never waits on anyone, it v;os itime for me to go off duty. As 1 v:as leaving, Shirley Hughes was coming on. Incidently she is married to Hobor Conley and they have two children. Gerald McDan.igl is now running a barber shop in tov’n. He and Helen have no trouble in keeping their three boys hair cut. After work I decided to go see him.
