Mary Shanley Mary is independent and al- ways on the go. As a member of our F.H.A. chapter, she is also district secretary of the organiza- tion. Mary always comes up with some solution to every problem, but the present draft system tends to put a damper on her social life. Stewart Sharrett Vivid blue eyes characterize this master of dry wit. He has been active on both the track, and cross country teams (and has re- marks for all occasions). He is famous for assembling and dis- assembling 7 different cars so far. His probable career is that of a great car designer, although he may insist on building them, too. Mike Sherman The outdoor type, Mike en- joys hunting, especially when it involves taking a vacation from school. Seldom heard from and less often seen; he is well-known for his abilities on the baseball diamond. In the past he has been seen darting back and forth on a tractor for one of many F.F.A. projects.

Lin Seip Cheerful and vivacious are the most appropriate words that can be used to describe Lin. Although she has a violent dread of spiders, she is funloving and is usually surrounded by happiness. Her little known (?) obession is Paul Newman. Kim Rounds Curly headed Kim declares that her pet peeve is kinky hair. She is the envy of every straight haired girl in school and vice versa. Although she is known for unusual happenings (like hitting a deer with the Driver Education car), she also can be quite serious. Barb Saltzer Barb is active in Drama Club, Horizon Club, and the newspaper staff. She describes herself as a dreamer; she is always smiling and makes a lot of sense when she talks. Barb likes tall blue eyed blondes and dislikes getting up mornings. 28

Pattee Stearns Pattee works hard on every- thing she endeavors to do. This year she bravely took on the responsibility of Alcen Editor. A real sports enthusiast, she joins the endless numbers who dislike gym notebooks. She will long be remembered for her portrayal of Mrs. Edwards in the Senior Play. Barb Snyder Though good-looking, Barb in- sists that she is too short. Exhibit- ing extraordinary stamina, she has survived frantic Alcen deadlines. Barb is sensational on the soccer field. Ping pong champion of gym class last year, she is fun to be around because she keeps moments exciting. Randy Stockweather Interested in sports, old cars, and hunting, Randy will long be remembered for his curly hair and his crude comments. Never at a loss for words, Randy was a great asset to the class of '69's spirit. 30
