Dave Mueller Dave is a member of the Na- tional Honor Society and presi- dent of the Drama Club. He dis- likes driver's tests (all three of them). Hoping one day to find a fountain pen that works, he is forever moaning that the Alcen and Senior year are going to give him ulcers. Doug Morgenfeld Doug is tall, tanned, hand- some, and rarely fully awake. He's a great asset to the swimming team, tennis team, and the Con- servation Department. Accom- plishments include achievement of Eagles Rank in Scouts and County Champ in Tennis Singles for two years. Rita Neeley Rita's soft voice and quiet nature sharply contrast with her fire red hair. She has a quick temper, but forgets the cause of anger twice as fast. Her ambition in life is to become a successful housewife with a house full of contented children. 24

Gene McGraw Gene is always seen cruising around Alfred on his classic cycle. Serious but fun-loving, he picks his own friends and is always ready to help them out. His idol is Tiny from Oakland; he can really ride. Bob Love Bob really does have a serious side, but it is usually hidden under his well-known sarcasm and witty remarks. His fantastic abili- ty to tease girls has made him a popular member of the class. De- pending on the season. Bob can be found on the tennis courts or in the pool. Carolyn McCormick Carolyn's interests focus on Rushford Lake in the summer — she says she prefers lifeguards. She was often seen assembling costumes for the Senior Play. She is forever chauffering brothers, sisters, and turtles (?) around whenever she can get the car. Her greatest ambition is to drive a tractor-trailer. 23

Michael Obuhanich Yearning to become a profes- sional athlete, Mike has proven his powers in basketball and baseball. He was our class president, Alcen sports editor, stage manager for the Senior Play, and a member of the Student Council. Mike claims his hero is Donald Duck. Jim Ninos Pound for pound, he is pro- bably the best wrestler in Alfred- -Almond. His independent spirit and great talent for having fun are something to be admired. He managed to become the most unconventional and original de- bater in Mr. Torrey's economics class. Dave Ormsby Dave is identified by his flash- ing red hair as he speeds down the basketball court or whips down the soccer field. He has saved our team in many games by his mag- nificent athletic feats. He is often quiet but can keep classes lively when he wants to do so. 25
