CAROL GARDEN “Carol”—came to A-A in '57 from California—a welcome addition— we really hated to see her leave in November of our senior year—was a member of Science Club—was wild about physics?—very quiet (sometimes)—“sweet.” SANDRA HARWOOD “Sandy”—a Future Homemaker— often seen at square dances with an escort from Canisteo—active in girls’ sports—one of those Penn- sylvania hill gals—“liked.” RICHARD GOODWIN “Cleo” — took Bachelor Training but you know Jean—one of our soccer stars—went to Boy's State —class president last year—always working on cars—an expert at it— Photography Editor of the Year- book—one of the lucky guys who rates curls—“hard worker.” 4 ARTHUR GUILD “Art” — President of the Senior class — drives yellow and black Mercury — soccer and basketball star — loves parties — one of our Almond boys—likes to play pool— always sported a brusheut — a woman’s man! — well-liked — “smooth.” CLASS OF 1959 ANN GREGORY “Ann”—spends all her time in the Union—one of our brighter stu- dents— class Treasurer in junior year — distinguished by her red hair — likes American Observer tests — suffered through Latin — “serious.” 19

CLASS OF 1959 DONNA CORNELL “Donna” — an F.H.A. member — likes to rollerskate at the Wells- ville rink—pals around with Rose — participates in girls’ sports — shortest girl in the class—“petite.” LARRY DAVIS “Larry”—little man of the class— ex-wrestling fanatic—played center on soccer team—takes a long day off for hunting—planning for an army career—a real lover—one of Lindy’s helpers—“prankster.” RICHARD DICKENS “Ricky”—star runner and wrestler — Sports Editor of the Alcen — brain in physics??—wish we knew the low down on that black eye— always scheming with Larry — drives the family car — one of Hackett’s Husky Hustlers—“sheik.” KEITH CORNELIUS “Keith”—ex-cross country star—oh! those wild parties—drives a Ford — thrives on night life — woman hater ? ? — hard working grease monkey—likes to sleep in class— never found at home—serenades with his guitar—“Casanova.” VIVIAN DICKINSON “Viv”—one of the short seniors— old pro at cheerleading—class sec- retary in ’57—active in girls’ sports National Honor Society member— great jitterbugger—appears to be quiet, but appearances are deceiv- ing!!—“short and sweet.” 18

CLASS OF 1959 LaVERNE MARVIN “Ty” — Alfred-Almond’s greatest manager—manages three sports— good cook in Bachelor Training— hard worker at the fair—came to us from Painted Post—“dependable.” SANDRA LEMEN “Sandy”—great clarinet player— loved trig—member of National Honor Society — also president of F.T.A.—Advertising Editor of the Alcen—always seen with Terry and Jane—will make a great teacher— loves Chevies (wonder why?)— “friendly.” DOROTHY LEBOHNER “Dot”—can’t wait to get to college —one of the Alfred girls—often seen at the movies in Alfred—can usually be found with Ann—sang in the chorus for a while—likes parties — what about those late hours?—“on the go.” CAROL MEEKS “Carol”—hails from Pennsylvania Hill—has interests in Big Creek— President of F.H.A. — active in girls’ sports—a hard working Alcen assistant — one of our licensed drivers—“calm.” DONALD McCREA “Mac”—great Yankee fan-hopes to manage them someday — star basketball player in gym class— used to rod around on a motorcycle —always wears a white shirt— Scotchman who is a great bagpipe player—used to wrestle—“sharp.” 20
