Our first days in A - A found us feuding over dolls, climbing the jungle gym, and just being bothersome to our teachers. Our education has progressed steadily to the goal which we now face. After struggling through six years of hard labor plus a little bit of fun, we finally reached the grown up classes known as Junior High School. These years were very happy ones for us filled with proms, parties, and Mr. Wil- lard's war Stories. How proud we were to be able to change classes instead of sitting in the same chairs all day long. When we came back to school as Fresh- men, we were thrilled to claim a hall locker as our very own. Now they are something we would like to disown. When we graduated to the sophomore class, most of us began to think of the future a little more seriously. Many in our class belong to the Band, Chorus, and are active in athletic groups such as bas- ketball, track, wrestling, baseball, soccer, 4-H and Rifle Club. The highlight of our Sophomore year was our play, No More Homework. It was a comical situation in a principal's office. This was a success under the direction of Mrs. Mc- Mahon and Mrs. Salisbury. As Juniors, we realized we weren't far from the last days at good old A - A. We were very excited when our class rings arrived and were so proud that they looked brighter than the Seniors'. We chose as our Junior officers, Pres., Harry Hurd; Vice-Pres., Sally Smith; Sec.-Treasurer, Annjeanette Mitchell, and our advisor was Mrs. McMahon. In the summer of our Senior year we made big plans for our fair booth at the Angelica Fair. Everyone worked hard includ- ing our parents and we all had a good time. Thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Mensinger this project proved very profitable with an earning of $836.38. At last we became the mighty Seniors. It seemed strange that we were underclassmen to nobody. We started this year with the election of our class officers. They include: Pres., Robert Campbell; Vice-Pres., Ronald Stockweather; Sec., Phyllis Wightman; Treas., Annjeanette Mitchell, and our advisor was Mr. Torrey. Sally Smith was chosen chairman of our magazine sale which totaled $700. Our senior play The Remarkable Incident at Car- son Corners, was a very important highlight in our Senior year. Throughout the year we have been planning our future and how we can best fulfill our dreams. We are going to miss all of our good friends and the good times we have had at A.A., but hope the future will hold much happiness and success for all of us. 26 Underclassmen First Row, Left to Right: R. Senior Play : The Remarkable Incident At Carsons Corners The Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners, written by Reginald Rose,„stage version by Kristin Sergei, was presented by the Senior High Association under the direction of Mrs. VanHall. This play contains a serious message connected with an accident causing a school boy's death five months previous. A student planned trial as a surprise for the parents, deliberated the fate of a man. The grown-ups, a doctor, janitor, business leader and others are stunned at the realization of their own contributory responsibility for the boy's death. This moving play was a big success for the Senior Class due greatly to the work of Mrs. VanHall and all of the students who worked on com- mittees. 49 Concu Wow 50 Soccer Seated, Left to Right: R.
