Llttle York Onexdl Cambrldge, New Wmd sor Aledo, Galesburg and Alevs There were 87 present The games makmg up the d ly were badmmton, soft ball, archery, volley balsl ping pong, and basketball Programs, score sheets, etc wure epared before hand Leaves from colored papers were used for prlzes Honor prlzes were glass leaf candy dlshes Later we Father Daughter Banquet In the sprmg the castles round table became a board of festlvlty All the fa thers of the sportsmen were sent mvntatmns to be present for 1 kmg s banquet The pralrne chxckens of the forest were served ln a deep ple wuth approprlate slde dnshes Slnce xt flell near February 14 we used the blrthday months of the year as our key but hearts bec :me the order of the evenmg Contests, g mmes, and dancmg became the order The oldest and youngest masters present became our sweethearts Mr Howard Moore Mr Dale Bates, md Mr Charles Mllner We departed company smgmg, Let He Call You Sweetheart Mother Daughter Sports Evenmg In our Alexls castle rotunda lll early November our sportsmen from the sur I'0l.1lldlllg area staged a bout for thexr mothers The mothers contested m Jousts, such as pmg pong volley ball badmmton, darts, shootmg for baskets, and shuffle board Queen honors were gxven for good sportsmanshxp High pomt honors went to Nlrs Helen Matteson Nlrs Gladys Haywood, and Nlrs Howard Nloore The hugh score honor went to Mrs Vala Shanks Each lady was presented wlth a frunt cake A llght lunch was served The countrymen chalrmen for 'the evenmg were Ruby Anderson and Pat McCorm1ck 73 iff V 1. - .
