The band concluded a full year of act1v1t1es with partrcrpatxon in the annual Crescendo Varieties Under the direction of Mr Bowers they presented a fall and winter concert They recerved an Excellent rating 1n the D1str1ct Marching Contest which was held at Southport Indiana Larry Dellrnger served as presrdent the first semester Letty Cotterman took over the duties in the second semester Max Mtllspaugh was band hbrarian The band choir and the drama department presented the Christmas program The band gave a Pop concert to raise funds to finance band Jackets and sweaters for graduating seniors who had been members of the band for three or more years These included Janet McMahan Jean Ann Bowers Letty Cotterman Marilyn Spreen Judie B1nder Judy Brandon and Larry Scott The twirlers added color and zest to the football and basketball games. The members are: Major, Jane Allebaughg Jean Ann Bowers, Jan Walker, Deanne Weaver, Susie Mohler, Sharon Jolmson. June Surber was not available for the picture.
