Class of '54 History . As the lights focused on the Class of '54, we began to act out our script for our high school years. Our first scene finds us under the leadership of Sandra Kilgore, president, Sherman Hurst, vice-president, Pat Brotherton, secretary, and Joyce Surber, treasurer. In this scene the action centered around our freshman magazine sales, and the scene closed with a class picnic at Shady- side Park in Anderson. Our sponsors were Mr. Frazier, Mr. Buhler, and Mr. Disque. Our second scene opened with the accent on the royal blue sweaters of the class of '54 and had a rather damp ending at Matter Park in Marion. lRemember the Battle of the Squirt Guns? l Our officers were Jim Livengood, president, Janese Warner, vice president, Joy Kean, secretary, and Joyce Surber, treasurer. Mr. Harding, Mr. Dick, and Mrs. Grantham were our sponsors. As iuniors we plunged into such money- making activities as scrap drives and gleaning corn. Our shiny new class rings added a touch of glamour to our third scene, which ended with a class trip to Turkey Run State Park. The directors for this scene were Bill Gaither, president, Jim Livengood, vice president, Joy Kean, secretary, and George Glass, treasurer. Our sponsors were Mr. Dick, Mrs. Grantham, and Mrs. Oberholtzer. lSenior activities on page 4l.l .ty They Lead in Sponsorship Ou r sponsors, Mrs. Oberholtzer, Mr. D i c k, and Miss Wolfe, survey the route to New York as they sponsor and help us plan our proiects and activities.
