The Girl Reserve Organizstion has sn spproximste membership of one hundred snd
titty girls. The purpose of this club is 'To find sud give the beet.n Its slogan
is 'To face lite squsrely.'
The meetings ers held every two weeks, during the school hours, in the High School
Gymnasium. The programs consisted of speskers, lessons given D-om the Glrl Re-
serve Book, snd vocsl and instrumental music.
The socisl activities hnve been limited to s weiner roast and lothers' snd Daughter
Tee. Charity work done by the club, included soliciting tor the Red Cross and
making screpbooks for the Riley hospital.

The Girlls Home Economics Club has one of the lsrgest memberships of any of the
clubs in the high school. Miss Morton, the Home Economics teacher in the high
school, is the fsculty advisor of the club. AL the meetings, speakers and other
entertainments are provided for the members. Inu parties are held during the
school year and the Home Economics-Agriculture party is sn annual event. when
meals are served in the school, the girls in this club sre usually chosen as
cooks and waitresses. The officers are: Helen Heffner, President, lnrcille
Bushong, Vice-President, and Martha Priesknff, treasurer.

lar among the students Because ot the large number of students desiring this
particular course, it is necessary to have an elimination test before the classes

With Miss Vela Travis as director, the chorus, composed of some of the best vocal
ists of the high school enjoyed a most successful year Although the chorus met
only once a week the results achieved were quite commendable
STUDENT COUNCIL
The Student ouncil is an organ1zat4on consisting of representatives from the
various classes. There are two students chosen from the Freshman, two from the
Sophomore, three from the Junior, and three from the senior class.
This group acts as an advisory and judicial body With the nelp of Mr. Zvans,
the faculty advisor, the council has suceeded in bring'ng about many helpful
changes for the students of Alexandria High school, whom they represent.

The game had the earmarks of a real bottle at first but the markmanship of the
Tigers improved near the close of tue game and gave them a safe lead It was a
great occasion for former students of the state school who ga hered here from all
parts of the state

In this game, the Tigers not only showed their usual keen offense, but their fine
defensive ability began to assert itself
The larkleville five gave the Tigers a score, but the sustained effort of the
Arabians to penetrate the Tiger offense fell four points short of suceess

The Alexandria five trailed the Shortridge team through most of the game, but in
the last half the Tigers rallied to tie the score, a d only a successful long
shot by Shortrldge in the closing minute defeated them.

The Tigers seemed to go into a slump in this game, and the marvelous form they
had shown in previous games was lacking from their play This was the first of
