Wittnebel, A. Johnson, R. Backlin. The 1956-57 Beta Club under the capable assistance of Mrs. Dorothy Schwanke had a full and eventful year. At our initiation this fall we admitted seven new members; Karlene Anderson, Maureen Collins, Bette Norgren, Florence Brozek, Janet Wittnebel, Mama Nelson, and Sandy Ellis. Among some of our activities were the Fall Banquet, the annual Christmas Alumni Tea, the sponsoring of the Gingham Ball and the Spring Formal. The club donated proceeds from a check room at the basketball games to the Have a Heart Fund. We have also had many enjoyable meetings at the homes of the members. Our officers this year were: President, Dorothy Sarvie; Vice-President, Agnas Johnson; Secretary, Jovenia Olson; and Treasurer, Mary Lea Smith. KEY CLUB Key Club is a service organization of senior high boys which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. The objective of Key Club is to eliminate juvenile delinquency, vandelism and promote good living. The meetings are held on Thursday of every week. The club sponsored Have-A-Heart Drive and they collect the money from the gum ball machines in the local business places for the Crippled Children. Each year representatives are sent to the National Key Club convention. The annual Key Club banquet is held in die spring. The officers this year are Charles Towner, President; Dick Aalberg, Vice-President; Jack Iverson, Secretary; and John Clifford, Treasurer. The advisor is Mr. Bernard Sonstegard.
