An important factor in school life is spirit - the spirit of youth. It bubbles into music, dramatics, sports, studying, and fun. Without it our school Wouldn't bc a place of learning and of companion- ship. We Want to preserve some of this freshness, some of this vitality on the following pages. There- fore, we dedicate our year book to the spirit of youth. -4- Mr. H. N. Peterson, Superintendent HUAHU U? EUUEMIUN A. M. OLSEX ----- l'RI+IS1lJtI+lN'l' A. VVhen I looked up, I saw him, khaki-clad, VVith thoughts that turned on things which were to be Would home, which seemed so dear to him before, Still be the same as 'twas three years ago? His job - would it be waiting at the store? And what l1as happened? They all will want to know. The crowd that used to meet downtown was grand. But that was all before he signed his name, A member i11 the service of his land. And what of Sue - would she still feel the same? These thoughts were speeding faster than the wheels That carried this young hero home, who had, Because I know how he returning feels, Made my misfortune seem not half so bad.
