COMPUTER CLUB Members enjoy a game of Star Flaiders. This year the Computer Club started off by living up to its name - it had one ATAFll 800 computer. Since many students wanted time on the computer, one wasn't enough. Two more ATARI 800 microcomputers were ordered along with two ATARI 400s, a smaller version of the larger one. The problem now was that the Club needed televisions for the new computers. The members raised money by selling Patch Panther Calendars and allowing other students to play computer games. Although only scheduled to meet every Thursday at lunchtime in room 324, almost every day, before and after school and during lunch, you could find several members work- ing on their programs in the computer room. At the regular meetings, Mr. Fleisinger, the club sponsor, provided instruction in operat- ing and programming the computer, thus providing the incentive for the Club. The Members of the Computer Club: Front: Paul Rimehart, Richard Spencer, Hughie Vicos, Tamara Cohen, Tim Castleman, Michael Fraser. Back Rom Rush Tuner Lequar, Mike Shaler, Joe Spencer, Bryan Zimmerman, Patricia Norwood, Mr. Fleisinger tsponsorl.

Reserve The Patch Junior Officers Training Corps, is a task force attached to the 5HT AJROTC Battalion, Stutt- gart High School. The ROTC program offers a wide range of enjoyable activities, field trips, and can serve as a helpful edge for a military scholarship or a mili- tary career. During the course of the year, the ROTC had a large and busy schedule on tap. Just two of the many field trips that the cadets attended were, one to an avia- tion batallion at Stuttgart Army Air Field where the cadets were given an enlightening tour of the site. The trip was topped by a helicopter flight over the Stutt- gart area. Another to the East German border where the cadets were again given an eye opening tour which answers that so often asked question: Why are we here in Europe? The highlight of the ROTC year is the annual military ball. The ball, as always, turned out to be a very enjoyable evening. lt was held at the Patch officers lub. The Patch AJROTC starts heading to a close after the nnual formal inspection, where the cadets are nspected and parade before a general officer. Then he ROTC program, as a whole is looked over by a eam of officers from Washington, D.C. he ROTC program is truly one of Patch High Schools ost active groups!
