Under the talented guidance of Miss Dawson, the ensemble kept quite busy throughout the year with perform- ances ranging from N.C.O. and Officers clubs, to church services. The twelve member group practiced on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at lunch. One bass member, Mike Nail, was quoted as saying, I like singing at lunch, I eat my salami sandwich with 'whoopee' mustard on it, and I can even hit Soprano notes that the girls can't! This year will lose eight members Iseniorsl of the express, who say its been a great experience for the future. Surely next years group will have their hands full in matching previous appearances of the 1980-81 ensemble. THE ENTERTAINEF1' Joe Withrow

The Model United Nations is into its second year at Patch. The M.U.N. is open to all students who are then selected by competitive exams, research papers, and oral presentations. The number of participants is ten. The students prepare themselves early in the school year to play the role of the United Nations delegates. The Model setting of the United Nations General Assembly is at the Hague, The Netherlands. The stu- dents deal with the same issues that are being dealt with at the real U.N. in New York. They must play realistic roles and do so by intensive study of their country's cul- tural economic, and political environment. This year, the Patch M.U.N. represented Japan, which was recently elected to the Security Council as a non-Permanent member. - - nv 95 N-1-.-,gg Top: Georg Kirchgasser, and Liz Alvarez reacting to news that they will be representing Japan.
